Access to Clean Water

85% of the world population lives in the driest half of the planet. 783 million people do not have access to clean water and almost 2.5 billion do not have access to adequate sanitation. 6 to 8 million people die annually from the consequences of disasters and water-related diseases.Only a quarter the total population in India has drinking water on their premise.Women, who have to collect the drinking water, are vulnerable to a number of unsafe practices. Only 13 per cent of adult males collect water.
Sixty seven per cent of Indian households do not treat their drinking water, even though it could be chemically or bacterially contaminated. Ourgoal is not only to find affordable & better solutions to produce pure drinking water as per WHO norms, but also to ensure that it reaches the masses through a very effective and robust distribution system at a cost that is within their reach. Our target areas to setup the Unite are Villages, Panchayats, Schools and Slums in the Cities.
