The India Development Alternatives Foundation (IDAF) is a not-for-profit Govt. Certified Tax Exempted Organization that aims to harbinger development and social change through participative involvement of development experts, policy makers, social scientists, political executives, technology drivers and the common people.

IDAF is focused on using alternative means of Development for sustainable and socio-politico-economic development of communities through livelihood projects, democratic and transparent governance, capacity building and entrepreneurship development. The core idea behind the foundation of IDAF is to bridge the access divide for social and economic upliftment of the downtrodden.

IDAFgot established in 2006 to achieve the twin goals of development-equity and sustainability. Ever since then, IDAF has actively been involved in different spheres of Development. One of the major aims of IDAF is to find out alternative means of development for the people at the bottom of the pyramid. IDAF is trying to bring up the disadvantaged and marginalised sections of the society to improve their quality of living.

IDAF envisages catering the need of the local communities by bringing them on a global platform throughvarious available technology and resources. Women are the major stakeholders in development dynamics ofany society and hence giving an equal footing to them will make the journey easier towards development. Asit has been rightly said and IDAF also believes in this theory that shared vision is necessary for shared goal ofdevelopment.
